Climate Scoreboard updates you on where world is headed
Climate Interactive’s Climate Scoreboard is a simple tool that counts up what the world’s nations have so far agreed to do, in connection with greenhouse gas reduction, and lets you see the results. It indicates clearly where “business as usual” (no additional action) would take us — currently, to a world 4.5 C degrees warmer (8.1 F) — and where the globally-agreed limit is, 2 degrees. Right now, if all countries do as they promise, we will still have a world that is 3.5 C warmer than preindustrial levels, which is a risky world indeed. (This is one of many useful tools on the Climate Interactive website.)
