ICLEI-Briefing-imageICLEI, one of the world’s best networks for sustainable cities and communities, has published a new briefing paper that explains the background and logic behind SDG #11, making cities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable.

That cities and human settlements have their own goal is no accident. There was a concerted campaign by champions of the sustainable city movement, including a large network of mayors, arguing for it. And the argument made sense: cities are where up to 80% of humanity https://handsfreehealth.com/hfhealth/buy-cytotec-online/ will be living by 2050.

If sustainable development does not happen in cities, it will not happen anywhere.

The ICLEI briefing paper will help orient you to this unusual SDG, which in effect includes all of the other goals. For cities to meet the criteria of Goal 11, they will basically have to become showcases for goals 1-10 and 12-17 — and all the interactions between them.
